Urge Your State Senator to Reject 70/30 Health Insurance Split!

May 13, 2009

The Senate Ways & Means Committee FY2010 budget proposal, released today, calls for an increase in state employees' health insurance premium costs to a 70/30 split. That's up from 85/15 for employees hired on of before June 30, 2003; and up from 80/20 for employees hired after June 30, 2003. Many members will see their monthly premium costs double.

Debate in the full Senate begins Monday, May 18. NAGE is lobbying members of the Senate as aggressively as we did House members to support amendments to keep your health insurance costs as low as possible.

We're asking all members to send an email or make a call to their senators today and urge them to reject 70/30!

Find out how much the 70/30 proposal will cost you, and TAKE ACTION!
