Local 207 President Theresa McGoldrick Running for Re-Election to State Retirement Board

The State Retirement Board has announced it will be conducting a regularly scheduled election for one of the two elected positions to its five-member Board. The elected member will serve for a three-year term without compensation beginning May 2009. Theresa McGoldrick, president of NAGE Unit 6, Local 207, is running for re-election to the Board. As a member of the Board, McGoldrick will also serve as trustee on the Pension Reserves Investment Management (PRIM) Board. View re-election flier

Holway. "I encourage our members and all state employees and retirees to cast their ballot for Theresa."

Ballots will be mailed to all state employees and retirees on March 6, 2009. They must be returned to the State Retirement Board by April 24, 2009. You may vote via the internet at www.vres.us/masbr.html from March 6, 2009 through April 24, 2009.

The State Retirement Board makes all major administrative and disability benefit decisions for the 140,000 state employees (including NAGE members) in the state retirement system. The PRIM Board makes all major investment decisions for the retirement savings of state and municipal employees in SRB.
